Many have been saying that Celluloid Jewelry is one-of-a-kind. It has become popular in England during the 1860s by Wesley Hyatt. Jewelry made of celluloid dates to about 1900 and was quite popular during the Art Deco period. Celluloid Jewelry compared to Bakelite lighter, thinner and more brittle. In other words, it is highly sensitive compared to other plastic based jewelry. However, although it is said to be like that, there are still a lot of people who adores it so much and even have a personal collection of it because as they say, things from the past are worth it.

Did you know that Celluloid Jewelry still exists until today? Well, we have seen a lot in eBay and that’s what we’re going to share now. So, for those who are bow fanatics, this surprise will be revealed to you in a bit. While having window shopping in eBay, we actually have found two cute Bow Celluloid accessories. First would be the Red Celluloid Hanging Clock Pin Brooch. It is a delicate little red bow with a clock. The bow’s actual measure is 1.25” by 1.5” including the clock face. Also, the clock’s face is uneven. It’s more of a magical collection, just think of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. In addition, the clock dangles from the bow with a metal circle and also has a clasp at the back that serves as old clip. This is indeed a beautiful piece that can be perfect for bow lovers. Second on our list would be the Celluloid Bow and Horn. According to its retailer, it is fresh from a fine Texas estate. The design actually features a horn suspended from a bow which measures approximately 1 7/8” by 1 1/2″. It is indeed from damage although it is considered to be a vintage piece.

When you are really a jewelry collector, you will know whether an item it is genuine or not. However, since Celluloid Jewelry is already long forgotten by many jewelers, it is up to the consumer whether they would believe on the item posted or not.
